Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with over 8 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and a strong background in guiding testing processes. The role is essential for driving quality assurance strategies, ensuring seamless integration with React-based applications, and maintaining high standards of software quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading QA teams through the entire product lifecycle, including testing for front-end, backend, and microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, Lead and manage the QA team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable web applications.
- Develop and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices to maintain software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including React developers, .Net backend developers, and product managers, to understand and meet quality expectations.
- Establish and maintain test automation frameworks to efficiently handle functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Define and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure robust quality assurance across various platforms and devices.
- Ensure the integration of front-end testing using tools such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright or similar frameworks.
- Conduct thorough testing of RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring seamless communication between front-end and backend systems.
- Monitor and report on test results, identify issues, and lead troubleshooting efforts in production environments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the adoption of new testing techniques and tools.
- Collaborate with the development team to define acceptance criteria and maintain the integrity of user experience.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in QA processes, especially in the context of React development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role focused on web applications.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
- Expertise in testing React applications, with experience in front-end testing tools such as Jest, Enzyme, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
- Familiarity with backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture, with the ability to test integrations efficiently.
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, including manual and automated testing using Selenium, Postman, or other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a QA team to ensure high standards of software quality.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and tools, with a focus on improving quality assurance practices.
- Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, with hands-on knowledge of Playwright for test automation.
- Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools to accelerate day-to-day activities and working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an added advantage.
